Pricing and premium

Decennial insurance cost: what affects the premium

How the price of decennial insurance is calculated

The first criterion is the activity. Trades affecting the structure or waterproofing (structural work, roofing, waterproofing) are more exposed than others. Declaring your activities precisely means you are properly covered without paying for risks you do not take. See covered activities and exclusions.

The premium is often based on turnover (or an estimate for a new business), sometimes with an annual minimum. Your experience, qualifications and claims history also count: an experienced professional with no claims generally obtains better terms.

The excess, the limits and additional covers (professional liability included or not, entrusted property) change the price. A low premium may hide significant exclusions: always compare covered activities and limits, not just the price.

Particular situations, such as starting a business, cancellation by a previous insurer or no insurance history, also affect the offer. Lev Assurances reviews your file before presenting proposals.
